General Counselling
You may be reading this because you are feeling sad, anxious, angry, low, depressed, lost or stuck in a rut. Sometimes you can't quite put your finger on what's wrong, you just know that something's not right. It may be something rather serious that's troubling you, or you might feel the problem is quite small, yet it's niggling away and won't leave you alone. Anyone can contact me with an enquiry and together we can see if it would be appropriate to book a free informal chat before deciding on booking an appointment.
Clearly, the reasons why you’re thinking about organising some counselling are unique to you. Life can be so tough sometimes and sharing how you are feeling with someone who is trained to listen and offer empathic understanding, can be massively helpful. Shining some light on the darker areas can reduce the hold they have on you, allowing you to reclaim your power and move forward with purpose.
In my private practice I am privileged to have worked with people from different walks of life. These are some examples of the kinds of issues that clients have discussed.
- Relationship breakdown
- Alcohol dependency
- Workplace stress
- Family stress
- Panic attacks
- Not coping
- Low self-esteem
- Lack of confidence
- Angry outbursts
- Loneliness
- Life crisis
- Despair
- Sadness
After our first session, people often say they feel "lighter". Having a dedicated time and space each week to talk to a counsellor helps you to clarify things. It is likely that you will start to feel more able to cope, happier, more confident, have better self-esteem, become less self-critical, have improved relationships... What is it that you would like to change?
